DAZN and Polymarket team up to bring live prediction markets to sports fans

Sports streaming service DAZN has teamed up with prediction market platform Polymarket to offer fans a new way to engage with live events. The partnership will introduce prediction trading features, letting users bet on real-time outcomes while watching matches. Both companies have highlighted the move as a step toward deeper fan interaction.

Prediction markets allow users to buy and sell contracts tied to the results of sports events, elections, or other outcomes. DAZN plans to embed these tools into its platform, giving viewers a more interactive experience. Until regulatory approval is secured, the service will display Polymarket's data during live broadcasts.

DAZN will apply for US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) licences in the coming months. The legality of prediction markets remains uncertain in America, but the company aims to expand the feature if regulations allow. Similar partnerships have grown in recent years, with brands like X (formerly Twitter) working with Polymarket in 2024 for election predictions and FanDuel teaming up with PredictIt in late 2025 for sports betting integrations. Shay Segev, DAZN Group's CEO, described the collaboration as another immersive option for fans. Shayne Coplan, Polymarket's CEO, added that prediction markets give users a unique way to anticipate future events. Representatives from both firms have expressed enthusiasm about the deal's potential.

The partnership will initially roll out prediction data during live streams while DAZN seeks US licensing. If approved, the feature could expand to other markets depending on local regulations. The move follows a broader trend of blending real-time betting with media and entertainment platforms.
