Daniel Negreanu surprises fans with a cameo in horror film Ick

Poker star Daniel Negreanu has made a surprising appearance in the horror film Ick (2024). A viewer spotted him during an online poker session, sparking curiosity about his acting career. While best known for his poker skills, Negreanu has quietly built a list of film credits over the years. The discovery came when Twitter/X user Jeff Whitmire recognised Negreanu in a scene while the poker player was streaming. This wasn't his first time on screen—Negreanu has appeared in films like Detention (2011), Lucky You (2007), and even X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009). His roles often stem from collaborations with director Joseph Kahn, who has cast him in multiple projects.

Negreanu's involvement in Kahn's films goes beyond acting. He invested in some of Kahn's productions, earning small roles in exchange for funding. His cameo in *Ick* follows this pattern, though no evidence links him to any financial or creative role in the film itself. Past appearances also include *The Grand (2007)*, *Mr. D (2013)*, *Private Eyes (2016)*, and *Bodied (2017)*. Despite his growing IMDB list, Negreanu remains primarily a poker professional. His film appearances seem to be a side interest rather than a career shift.

The poker champion's cameo in Ick adds to his unusual filmography. While his acting roles are minor, they often tie back to his investments in Joseph Kahn's work. For now, Negreanu's focus stays on poker—but his occasional screen time keeps fans guessing.
