The Super High Roller Bowl is underway at PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, drawing top players for its $100,000 buy-in event. Sixteen entrants have already registered, with late registration still open for another day. Among them, Jason Koon made an early impression by tripling his starting stack to around 1,000,000 chips.

Daniel Negreanu arrived late to the tournament but quickly became a focal point. He made two notable plays: first, a strong fold with a set of kings despite holding the king blocker, and later, a successful bluff with just seven-high to win a pot against Stephen Chidwick. Between hands, he sipped wine, joking that it was his 'cheat code' in poker.

By the end of Day 1, Brandon Wilson and Nick Petrangelo had already been eliminated. The remaining field includes Jason Koon, Thomas Boivin, Joao Simao, Sam Soverel, Igor Yaroshevskyy, Andrew Lichtenberger, Stephen Chidwick, Daniel Rezaei, Jesse Lonis, and Cary Katz. Chidwick, in particular, is nearing Bryn Kenney’s all-time record for live tournament earnings. Day 2 will see these players return, with Koon leading the pack after his dominant start. The event’s structure allows for further registrations, meaning the prize pool could still grow before play resumes.

The tournament’s early stages have already delivered high-stakes drama, with Negreanu’s bold plays and Koon’s chip lead setting the tone. As registration remains open, more players may join before the field narrows further. The next session will determine who advances toward the final table.
