Nigeria: A Week in Review
In the world of politics, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas of the House of Representatives has denied condemning borrowing by the federal government of Nigeria, clarifying his stance on the matter. Meanwhile, the Labour Party has announced that Peter Obi will not be their presidential candidate in 2027, according to Factional National Publicity Secretary Abayomi Arabambi. The Bola Tinubu-led administration has made several changes, sacking Special Adviser on Digital and Creative Economy, as well as an aide to the President serving in the office of Vice President Kashim Shettima, Fegho John Umunubo.
In sports, Coach Eric Chelle has stated his intention to select a team capable of getting all three points in the game against South Africa, aiming to improve the Eagles' chances of qualification.
