Cyclist from Poland experiences minor injury after being overlooked during event

In the morning of August 9, 2025, a car-bicycle collision occurred at the Rauendahlstraße, height of the Wuppertaler Straße. According to information transmitted by news aktuell and originally provided by the Ennepe-Ruhr District Police Headquarters, the incident took place at 9:40 AM.

The bicycle rider was a 57-year-old woman from Hattingen. Unfortunately, she was slightly injured in the fall and was taken to the hospital by an ambulance. The car driver, a 42-year-old man from Oberdering, was involved in the collision when he overlooked the cyclist starting from his right while intending to turn right into the Wuppertaler Straße.

There was material damage to the vehicles involved in the collision. The cyclist's injuries were not life-threatening, and the police president of the Ennepe-Ruhr district police directorate involved in the accident was not explicitly named in the search results.
