In a significant move for the financial services industry, Visa Europe has hired Digital Realty Trust to build a new 10,000 square foot data centre close to London. This project is a critical investment for Visa Europe, underlining the importance of state-of-the-art data centre facilities for their business operations.

The data centre, being built to Visa Europe's bespoke requirements, will optimize their operations and minimize risks. Digital Realty Trust has guaranteed both the project's budget and timeframe, ensuring a seamless construction process.

CBRE Global Investors completed the construction of a similar new building for Visa Europe in the third quarter of 2011, west of London. The location is specific, reflecting the importance of proximity to major financial hubs.

The data centre facilities will serve as the foundation for Visa Europe's business, emphasizing their crucial role. Visa Europe's CIO, Steve Chamber, has stated the importance of the project in minimizing risks and optimizing operations.

This is the second major contract signed by Visa Europe in recent times in the financial services industry, indicating a return to data centre investment. The completion of the data centre is due by the third quarter of 2011, marking an exciting development for both Visa Europe and Digital Realty Trust.
