Criticizing Skip Bayless' claims of Caitlin Clark feigning injury, Sophie Cunningham firmly states: " Silence, Bayless!"

In a recent episode of her podcast, Show Me Something, Sophie Cunningham addressed the intense backlash against her teammate, Bria Hartley, following the injuries of star player Caitlin Clark. The backlash has been sparked by columnist and commentator Skip Bayless, who has questioned the Indiana Fever's motives regarding Clark's repeated absences from games.

Caitlin Clark, who has missed 22 out of the Fever's 35 games this regular season due to back-to-back injuries, has not played since hurting her right groin in a game on July 15 at Connecticut. Clark's teammate, Sophie Cunningham, defended Hartley in the podcast, stating emphatically, "That's literally bulls**t. No one's lying."

Coach Stephanie White, the head coach of the Indiana Fever, recently spoke about Clark's health status, emphasizing that Clark must return to full practice participation before considering a game return. White reported that Clark has been able to do a little more on the court in terms of how she moves, but not in practice shape.

Clark's injuries this season have forced her to sit out 22 games, and her teammate, Sophie Cunningham, has also been ruled out of this season due to an injury to her right knee during the August 17 game against Connecticut Sun. Cunningham's podcast, Show Me Something, has become a platform for her to address the ongoing speculation and backlash.

The Fever played the Minnesota Lynx on Friday, August 22, and the team's injuries have undoubtedly impacted their performance. Bria Hartley, a teammate of both Clark and Cunningham, has been at the centre of the backlash, with some questioning her role in Clark's injuries.

Cunningham's strong words on her podcast drew a sharp retaliation from Bayless, who has since retracted his allegations. For the Fever, the focus remains on the team's recovery and the return of their star players, Clark and Cunningham, to full health. The team's next game is scheduled for next week, and fans will be eagerly waiting to see if either player will make a comeback.
