Criminals Using Photos Sought by Pol-BI for Fraudulent Activities
In Bielefeld, Germany, the local police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating an unknown man suspected of a recent bank fraud incident. The crime occurred on 14.10.2024, and involved the manipulation of online banking data through a phone call.
According to investigators, the fraudster posed as a bank employee and managed to obtain sensitive bank data from a Bielefeld resident. After two transfers to an account at the same bank, the offender blocked the victim's online banking, resulting in a significant financial loss for the Bielefeld resident.

In addition, the police are also seeking the accomplice of the juvenile suspect involved in the fraud. However, there is currently no publicly available information identifying a specific suspect who disguised themselves as a bank employee in this case.
The Bielefeld resident only realised they had been a victim of fraud later that evening. The police are urging everyone to be vigilant and cautious when receiving unsolicited phone calls or emails claiming to be from their bank.
