In the heart of Bremen's old town, a 23-year-old individual caused a stir during the wine festival held on the Domshof. On the night from Wednesday to Thursday, the suspect opened two tents with a knife and made off with a box full of wine bottles.

The theft began when the suspect, who had consumed half of a Pinot Noir bottle, attempted to steal wine. A 19-year-old security guard intervened, managing to take the loot from the 23-year-old. However, the suspect did not resist arrest or attempt to flee again.

The stolen goods consisted of bottles from the box that was initially taken. The wine, unfortunately, was not recovered at the time of the arrest. The suspect's motive for the theft was personal and not related to the value of the wine.

After being confronted, the suspect threatened the security guard. Despite his bad mood, the police view his actions as unjustified. The 23-year-old fled the scene after attempting to steal another bottle, but was caught by the police in close proximity.

Criminal investigations for aggravated theft have been initiated. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of security at such events and the consequences of unlawful actions. The wine festival continued, undeterred, on the Domshof.
