Creative Solutions to Typical Meeting Room Issues
In a bid to streamline meeting room experiences and minimise disruptions, Tateside, a leading provider of modern workspaces, has unveiled a custom screen shroud in collaboration with British furniture designer Matthew Hill.
The challenge in meeting spaces has long been users disconnecting devices and plugging in their own, causing issues with the AV system setup. Tateside recognised this problem and sought a solution that would complement the interior design and be applicable across multiple sites globally.
The result is a custom screen shroud that fully encloses the screen and its peripherals, preventing users from removing cables and disrupting the AV system setup. The shroud is designed to address the issue of unwanted downtime caused by onsite personnel continually reconnecting and setting up the room.
The shroud, made of a moisture-resistant substrate and finished in a matt black high-pressure laminate, is both practical and stylish. It comes in various sizes to fit screens from 50-75 inches and co-houses Cisco Room Bars up to a 55-inch screen and Cisco Room Bar Pro models up to an 85-inch screen.
The shroud includes an acoustically transparent material to hide UC bars behind, and it features pre-machined threaded mounting points for screen brackets and UC video bars. To cater to different design preferences, the shroud can be customized in multiple finishes, including wood grains, making it a stylish addition to modern meeting spaces.
The idea for the development of the special cable ducting for modern workspaces was initiated by the German company BACHMANN. This innovative feature allows for quick and easy installation, as well as complete concealment of sockets from users.
Tateside, with its commitment to ensuring consistent user experiences and BYOD meeting setups, is confident that the custom screen shroud will provide a solution that meets the needs of both users and businesses. Sullivan, a representative from Tateside, concluded that the custom screen shroud solves the problem of users disrupting the AV system setup and provides a solution that complements the interior design, paving the way for a more seamless meeting room experience.
