Countdown underway for the anniversary showcase at Plyuchov Castle, happening soon

In the heart of Mecklenburg's picturesque landscape, the artist house, a significant cultural institution, is currently hosting an anniversary exhibition titled "For the Beautiful and the Freedom." This exhibition, marking the artist house's 35 years of cultural work, is open for visitors until August 24.

Located at Schloss Plüschow, the exhibition showcases art from the past 35 years, demonstrating the connection between history and the present, tradition and artistic experimentation. The diverse art scene over the past three and a half decades is on display, offering a captivating insight into the evolution of the art world.

The artist house, a hub for national and international artists supported by scholarships, has been developed into an internationally recognised institution through funding from the state, federal government, and EU. It stands alongside Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop and Schloss Bröllin as one of the most important art venues in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Miro Zahra, the head and curator of the artist house, leads a guided tour of the exhibition on Sunday at 3 pm. Although the specific international artists participating in the tour are not named in the available information, it promises to be an enlightening experience, offering a unique perspective on the art pieces featured in the exhibition.

Since 2015, the artist house has been involved in integration work with refugees through workshops and cultural projects. Miro Zahra, who was awarded the Helene-Weber Prize in 2020 for his work in integration, is at the helm of these initiatives.

A documentary about the artist house's creation, renovation, and main programmatic focuses is also available for those interested in delving deeper into the institution's history.

The exhibition has been extended due to popular demand, giving art enthusiasts more time to explore and appreciate the works on display. Don't miss out on this opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of art that the "For the Beautiful and the Freedom" exhibition at Schloss Plüschow offers.
