Energie Cottbus Signs Veteran Defender Anderson Lucoqui
Football club Energie Cottbus has announced the signing of experienced defender Anderson Lucoqui. The Angolan international will bring a wealth of experience to the team, having played in the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, and 3. Liga.
Lucoqui, who completed his youth development at the academies of 1. FC Köln, Bayer Leverkusen, and Düsseldorf, made his professional debut with Fortuna Düsseldorf. He has since gone on to play for a number of top German clubs, including Arminia Bielefeld, FSV Mainz 05, and 1860 Munich.
Before joining Energie Cottbus, Lucoqui was contracted to 1860 Munich. His last team before that was FC Energie Cottbus, marking his eighth stop in German professional football.
Lucoqui has an impressive resume, having played in 34 Bundesliga, 50 2. Bundesliga, and 12 3. Liga games. He has also represented Angola once at the international level.
