Corona Pandemic Spreads in Maria Peace Community
Neuss, Germany - A recent outbreak of the Coronavirus has been reported at the MariaFrieden Nursing Home in Jüchen, with 12 residents and 4 employees testing positive as of August 16, 2020. It is assumed that regulations were not followed in the nursing home, leading to the outbreak. All residents and employees are currently undergoing a testing action.
The Rhein-Kreis Neuss has seen a rise in Coronavirus cases, with the number of infected individuals increasing from 88 on July 31, 2020, to 93 as of August 16, 2020. Sadly, 23 people have died in connection with the virus in the region. A total of 1,058 infections have been confirmed.
Infections are most prevalent in Neuss (33), Grevenbroich (14), Dormagen (12), Jüchen (9), Kaarst (8), Korschenbroich (7), Meerbusch (6), and Rommerskirchen (4).
If the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants reaches 50, further coercive measures are expected. Currently, the value in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss stands at 16.2.
