Controversial WoW guild's World First raid kill erased by Blizzard over cheating allegations

A little-known European guild, RAoV QA Strikes Back, claimed a World First kill in World of Warcraft's mythic Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible raid. The achievement raised immediate suspicions, as the group's past includes multiple cheating incidents. Within hours, Blizzard removed their record from the Hall of Fame.

The guild's victory appeared unlikely from the start. Their characters wore only green and blue gear—far weaker than the equipment typically needed for mythic-difficulty bosses. This discrepancy led players to question how they succeeded where top guilds had struggled.

Blizzard has previously banned *RAoV QA Strikes Back* for exploiting glitches. In 2018, they secured a *World First* in *Siege of Lordaeron* by manipulating macro commands. Their latest achievement followed a similar pattern, prompting swift action from the developers. In response to the guild's kill, Blizzard increased boss abilities by up to 260% to block further exploits. The company then revoked the guild's achievement, erasing their name from the official rankings. No statement has been released about additional penalties.

The guild's history of cheating now overshadows their latest attempt at a World First. Their removal from the Hall of Fame marks another instance where Blizzard has intervened to maintain fair play. The incident highlights ongoing efforts to prevent manipulation in high-level World of Warcraft content.
