Contentious Meeting: Verbal Insults, Physical Altercations, Spitting Incidents, and Acts of Defiance at BPOLI MD
On the evening of August 21, 2025, an unfortunate incident occurred at a fast-food restaurant in Magdeburg Central Station. Three individuals, an 81-year-old German, a 25-year-old, and a 26-year-old, were involved in an altercation that led to charges being filed.
The altercation began inside the restaurant, with mutual insults exchanged between the elderly man and the two younger individuals. The situation escalated when the 26-year-old struck the elderly man twice in the head with his fist and spat at him.
When the officers from the Magdeburg Central Station police unit arrived on the scene, the 25-year-old was uncooperative and aggressive. He resisted arrest and attempted to reach for an officer's service weapon. Both individuals were taken to the nearby federal police headquarters at Magdeburg Central Station for further investigation.
Following the incident, breathalyzer tests were administered, revealing the blood alcohol levels: 0.52 for the 81-year-old, 0.85 for the 25-year-old, and 1.05 for the 26-year-old.
Later, the duo was located and stopped in the area of Cologne Square by federal police officers.
Charges have been filed for insults, bodily harm, and resistance against law enforcement. The superior of the officer who stopped the 25-year-old is the head of the Magdeburg Central Station police unit.
