R&M Consultants is pleased to announce the addition of two new staff members to their team. The professional engineer, Jason Johnston, has joined the Surface Transportation Group, while Trevor Copple has joined the Geosciences Group as an Environmental Geologist.

Jason Johnston brings over twenty years of civil engineering experience to R&M Consultants. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Montana State University and has worked on various infrastructure projects across Alaska, including a $40 million airport in Kaktovik, wastewater treatment facilities in Denali, and roads and bridges across the state. Johnston is registered with the State of Alaska as a professional civil engineer and has also held roles with the National Park Service and was a top-tier contracting officer's representative for the federal government.

Outside of work, Johnston operates his hunting guide business, Johnston Alaskan Outfitters, in Chugiak. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, biking, and camping.

Trevor Copple, an environmental geologist, earned his academic degrees, including a Master's in Civil Engineering, from the University of California, Berkeley. Copple has over five years of experience across the western United States and is a certified asbestos building inspector. He previously worked as a senior project manager at a multinational construction company.

Copple supports environmental and geotechnical investigations at R&M Consultants and is adept in ArcGIS, with working knowledge of gINT and OpenGround software. In addition to his professional work, Copple is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Geological Society of America, and Society of Economic Geologists. Outside of work, Copple enjoys hiking, biking, camping, exploring geothermal energy topics, and is an avid fan of Lego product design.

Welcome to R&M Consultants, Jason and Trevor! We are excited to have you on board and look forward to your contributions to our team.
