Construction Sites Burglarized: Resources Missing after Theft of Tools
The Police Headquarters Southeast Hesse is investigating a series of incidents at two construction sites on Aschaffenburger StraΓe in Seligenstadt. According to the latest reports transmitted by the Police Headquarters Southeast Hesse via news aktuell, unknown individuals gained entry to the sites between Friday 4 PM and Monday 7 AM.
The perpetrators are believed to have entered the sites through a gap in the construction fence. On one site, they forced open several locked containers and made off with several laser devices, a pump, and various tools. In a similar manner, they gained access to an office container on an adjacent site within the same time frame, stealing all the material that could be easily carried away.
The police suspect a connection between the two crimes, as they share similar modus operandi. The perpetrators are also believed to have used keys found in the containers to gain access to construction vehicles parked on the sites. They opened the hoods of some vehicles and stole the batteries from one of them.
The estimated total property damage is nearly β¬4,000, and the provisional estimate for the value of the stolen items is approximately β¬15,000. Witnesses who observed anything suspicious in the specified time period are asked to contact the Offenbach Criminal Police at 069 8098-1234.
