With the weekend approaching, the Latvian State Roads (LVC) is reminding travellers to plan their routes carefully, taking potential traffic restrictions into account.

According to LVC, traffic on the regional road Ventspils-Kolka (P124) near Ventspils and on the Inčukalns-Ropaži-Ikšķile (P10) is moving along one lane, with seven and four temporary traffic lights respectively. This means that travel times on these routes may be longer than usual.

Similarly, on the Vidzemes Highway (A2) from the turn to Cesis (P20) to Rīfzene, traffic also moves along one lane, with five temporary traffic lights in place. This section of the highway is expected to take approximately 45 minutes to cross.

Driving from Kangari to Tīnūži on the Inčukalns-Ropaži-Ikšķile (P10) will also take 45 minutes, due to the temporary traffic lights.

The LVC website provides information about traffic restrictions for weekend routes, making it a valuable resource for travellers. However, the exact times and days of the road restrictions on the Regional Road Ventspils-Kolka, the Vidzemes Highway, and the road from Kangari to Tiņūži have not been specified in the current data.

LVC strongly advises travellers to check the website for traffic restriction information before planning their weekend routes. The organisation emphasises the importance of planning in advance to ensure a smoother journey.

In addition, LVC encourages travellers to be patient and to expect delays due to the temporary traffic lights. They remind everyone to drive safely and to adhere to the speed limits and traffic rules.
