Cologne Police Investigate Unprovoked Attack on 38-Year-Old Man
A disturbing incident occurred in Cologne on Monday, August 18th, as a 38-year-old man was attacked outside a kiosk at the intersection of Lungengasse and Clemensstraße.
According to initial investigations, the victim had an argument with the kiosk operator before being assaulted by an unknown assailant. The attacker, described as about 50 years old, of robust build, with short hair and wearing a short brown T-shirt, attacked the man from behind with an unknown object.
The victim sustained injuries to his upper body and was taken to the hospital for outpatient treatment. Thankfully, his condition is not life-threatening.
The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction after the attack, and as of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. The Criminal Investigation Department 51 has taken over the investigation for dangerous bodily harm.
