Medical Conditions - Conclusion of flu season: fewer infections reported
The flu season that has recently wrapped up mirrors earlier years prior to the coronavirus crisis, according to Health Minister Ursula Nonnemacher (Greens). Per her, the flu outbreak in Brandenburg reached its pinnacle during the first few weeks of 2024. In comparison, the 2022/2023 flu outbreak kicked off in the fall of 2022, which was surprisingly early, the ministry's statement notes.
Nonnemacher advocated for the flu shot. "Influenza isn't a mild illness. That's why it's crucial to take advantage of the upcoming flu vaccination opportunities once again during the forthcoming season." The optimal time for this is October and November.
