"Concern Looms": Oscar Guerrero expresses anxiety over his cyclists following death threats at the Vuelta, his role being the sports director of Israel-Premier Tech.

Oscar Guerrero, the sports director of the Israel-Premier Tech cycling team, has addressed concerns about the team's safety and the ongoing situation in Gaza. In an interview on Spanish radio station Onda Cero, Guerrero spoke about the verbal attacks and death threats the team has been facing.

Guerrero stated that many members within the team are not satisfied with what is happening in Gaza. He also mentioned that the team is subjected to insults and verbal attacks, and he denounced the death threats that the team's riders have been receiving for days.

The director of the Israel-Premier Tech team called on protesters not to attack the team, emphasising the need for peace and understanding. Guerrero hopes that things will improve from now on in terms of protests.

Despite the challenges, the Israel-Premier Tech team has reaffirmed its commitment to participating in the Vuelta. The technical director of the Vuelta, Kiko Garcia, had previously shown favour to the withdrawal of the team due to safety concerns. However, Guerrero mentioned that the team cannot abandon the race because the same could happen in another race.

Guerrero also stated that he has his own thoughts regarding the situation, but it is not the appropriate time to share them. He expressed that he will not express his opinion on the situation in Gaza.

The Israel-Premier Tech team's participation in the Vuelta has been a topic of discussion due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Guerrero's statements serve as a reminder of the challenges faced by athletes and teams in today's political climate and the importance of maintaining peace and understanding in the face of adversity.
