Completion of seeding campaign in Yakutia
The Republic of Yakutia is making significant strides in its agricultural sector, with farming activities nearing completion. According to recent reports, a total of 47,618 hectares have been sown across the region.
In the realm of fodder crops, 29,082 hectares have been cultivated, marking an increase compared to the total sown area in the previous year. This includes 14,694 hectares of annual crops and 11,070 hectares of cereals, such as wheat (1,648 hectares) and barley (2,462 hectares).
Perennial grasses, both from previous years and this year, have been sown on a combined 14,025 and 362 hectares respectively. The sowing of perennial grasses this year has reached 95% of the planned area.
Open-ground vegetables have also been planted on 1,319 hectares, exceeding the planned area by 3%. This includes a successful potato planting campaign, with 6,147 hectares sown, representing a 102% completion and a 91% increase compared to the same period last year. Organized households have a sown area of 2,600 hectares for potatoes.
Oats have also been sown on 6,958 hectares. By July 10, 20XX, the Republic of Yakutia is expected to complete its planned sowing area for fodder crops, covering a total of 30,500 hectares.
