The $Trump token, which was launched during Donald Trump's inauguration as the 45th President in 2016, was initiated by Eric Trump, son of Donald Trump, who is a central figure in the family’s crypto empire. Melania Trump, the incoming and former First Lady, introduced the currency.

The success of Rivalry's $Trump token may depend on the willingness of investors to back the company. However, the rapid growth of the $Trump token has already eclipsed $30 billion in fully diluted value shortly after its debut.

However, the journey for Rivalry hasn't been without its challenges. In 2024, the company underwent two rounds of layoffs, with 29 people let go in July and 28 in October. Additionally, Rivalry faced a shortfall in a private placement deal, raising only C$3.32m instead of the expected C$4.2m.

Despite these setbacks, Rivalry remains committed to delivering first-of-its-kind experiences to its registered players. By offering the $Trump cryptocurrency as a payment method, Rivalry has solidified its position as the first full-scale platform to achieve commercial success in its sector.
