WSOP Online 2020: Jeffrey Gross Wins $2,500 Pot Limit Omaha Event
Jeffrey Gross of the United States has claimed victory in Event #40 of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online 2020, a $2,500 Pot Limit Omaha tournament. The event, which attracted 532 players, boasted a total prize pool of $1,263,500.
Gross, who previously won the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) on PokerStars, emerged as the champion, taking home a prize of $224,493, including the coveted WSOP gold bracelet.
The third place finish went to a player using the screen name "somebodyelse" on GGPoker, who hails from Kazakhstan. Despite not securing the title, "somebodyelse" (Shyngys) still walked away with a substantial payout of $120,616.
In the heads-up match, Gross faced off against Andreas Torbergsen from Norway. Torbergsen, who won $164,553, was ultimately defeated, leaving Gross to claim the top prize.
Other notable competitors in the event included Devon Hubler, who finished in third place and received a prize of $81,113, and Paul Teoh from Malaysia, who won $34,819.
Leon Tsoukernik from the Czech Republic and Sai Wah "sws79" Shek from Hong Kong also made appearances, winning $88,412 and $64,806 respectively. Arvi "Catman777" Vainionkulma from Finland and Benjamin "dr100percent" Juhasz from Hungary also cashed in the event.
Players on GGPoker are eligible for a $11 no-deposit bonus upon registration and completion of the verification process. The WSOP Online GGPoker 2020 saw its third bracelet event conclude with Gross's triumphant victory in the Pot-Limit Omaha event.
