In the bustling city of Cebu, the Cebu Media tournaments of 2025 saw a new force to be reckoned with – the Disruptors. The team, comprising a diverse group of athletes, made a significant impact in both the volleyball and basketball competitions.
The Disruptors' volleyball team, led by Kenneth Torres, Jean Mondoñedo, Robert Aniñon, Jade Laranjo, Pauline Gillera, Hannah Ballestin, Gerramae Villarin, Kerstel Medalle, Denise Codis, Tony Onrejas, and Joshua Solano, started their volleyball campaign with a commanding win against MyTV. The final score was 62-53, a testament to the team's skill and determination. They further cemented their dominance in the tournament by defeating Bombo Radyo with a score of 25-13, 25-12, extending their clean record to 2-0.
Meanwhile, in the basketball arena, the Disruptors' team, which also included Jade Laranjo, Robert Aniñon, Rico Ramirez, Montecillo, Jun Mark Villavelez, Earl Kim Padronia, Eric Arreglado, Robert Lim, Lujen Limosnero, Rhenz Narciso, and coach Jun Migallen, showed their versatility. John Montecillo, a graphic designer, scored 21 points to lead the Disruptors to a 2-1 record in the media practitioners' tournament. They also clinched a victory against Bombo Radyo in the 2025 Press Freedom Cebu Media basketball tournament, with a final score of 56-36.
