Company Premises Cable Theft Investigation: Three Individuals Apprehended for Stealing Cable Metals
In Dortmund, Germany, three individuals were apprehended on September 3 in the Brackel district, following an unauthorized break-in and attempted theft of cable materials.
The incidents occurred on the premises of a company in Dortmund, with the suspects gaining access to the site in a white van. The suspicious activities were reported by a vigilant employee of a security service at around 1:30 PM.
The three suspects, a 38-year-old from Herne, a 20-year-old from Bochum, and a 16-year-old from Herne, were identified by the police officers. They were observed via a video surveillance system as they loaded cable material from a metal scrap container into the vehicle.
After identification, the suspects were released. However, the van and their mobile phones were seized as evidence. The suspects have a history of similar offenses, according to the police.
The employees of the Dortmund police investigating the unauthorized break-ins and attempted theft of cable materials are members of the Dortmund Police's criminal investigation department (Kriminalpolizei).
