On Thursday, September 11, 2025, several city services and facilities will be affected due to a company outing organised by the city administration. Here is a rundown of the closures and service adjustments for the day:

The Counseling Center for Educational and Family Issues, the Garbsen Recreation Center, the Cultural Office, the Citizen's Office, the Town Hall, the Berenbostel Youth House, and the School Social Work will all be closed on September 11. Mobile youth work will also be paused for the day.

Citizens will not be able to handle any official business at the Town Hall or the mentioned facilities. However, the restaurant in the Town Hall can be reached via the bridge from the Town Hall square.

The City Library and the Music and Art School of the city administration will continue their classes as usual on September 11. The Badepark Garbsen will also remain open.

For urgent matters, the city administration asks citizens to only use the offered emergency services. For supply facilities emergencies (sewer blockages, traffic light failures), citizens can call (01 71) 6 40 95 79. For removal of disturbances at rain retention basins, pumping stations, and sewers, the number to call is (01 72) 30 8 99 38.

The city administration organised the nationwide warning infrastructure test on September 11 between 11:00 and 11:45 AM. This test affected closed places on the same day in the Coesfeld district, including Dรผlmen. This test was coordinated by the city administration itself as part of a federal alert system test.

The City Archive will remain open on September 11. Citizens are advised to plan their visit to the Town Hall and the affected facilities accordingly on September 11.
