Community Engaging in Heidkamper Game Festival

6th Heidkamper Games Festival Scheduled for August 23, 2025

The City of Bergisch Gladbach has announced the upcoming 6th Heidkamper Games Festival, taking place on August 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This exciting event will be held at Bensberger Straße 133 and is open to children aged 5 to 12, as well as their families.

This free games festival offers a variety of activities for children to enjoy, including a Bobby car course, goal shooting, sensory boxes, duck fishing, bowling, face painting at the kindergarten, and browsing through the open clothing store of the German Children's Fund. Refreshments such as coffee, cake, and fresh waffles will be available throughout the day.

Each child who participates in the games festival will receive a small surprise at the end, and game passes will be distributed at the entrance. Each played station at the games festival will receive a stamp, making it a fun and engaging experience for all.

The 6th Heidkamper Games Festival is a collaborative event involving several organizations from Heidkamp, including the German Children's Fund, Rheinisch-Bergische Settlement Society, Youth counseling center of the AWO, Youth workshop of the AWO, Catholic church, Protestant church, New Apostolic church, Intercultural meeting point PAULA, simply together e.V., Fachdienst for integration and migration of the Caritas Rhein-Berg, and the Heidkamp Round Table.

The Heidkamp Round Table is a group of actors and organizations from Heidkamp who plan joint actions, bundle forces, and aim to make a difference in the neighbourhood. The event is organised by the City of Bergisch Gladbach - Department of Social Urban Development.

The games festival is an excellent opportunity for families to spend quality time together while their children enjoy a variety of fun and engaging activities. With twelve gaming stations to choose from, there's something for everyone. The festival takes place on the last weekend of the holidays, making it a perfect way to wind down before the new school year begins. Donations are requested at the event to help cover costs.
