Commission has yet to approve a plan for a worker radiation safety directive, concerning hazards from ionizing radiation exposure.

In the coming week, the South East Hesse Police Headquarters will be setting up speed control points at various locations across the region. The move is aimed at ensuring compliance with speed limits, improving road safety, and addressing specific concerns such as noise protection and wildlife preservation.

Starting from February 17, 2025, speed control points will be established on the B 43 a, Hanau towards Dieburg, before the Hanau-Hafen junction, a notorious dangerous stretch of road. Similarly, on the B 459, Dreieich towards Offenbach, before the Geisfeld roundabout, another accident hotspot, officers will be monitoring speed limits. In Biebergememünd-Wirthheim, on the Frankfurter Straße, yet another dangerous stretch of road, speed control points will also be deployed.

On February 18, additional speed control points will be set up on the B 43 a, Hanau towards Dieburg, before the Hanau-Hafen junction, as well as on the A 45, Hanau towards Aschaffenburg, at the Autobahn junction Seligenstadt, both considered dangerous stretches of road. The L 3262, Zeppelinheim towards Buchschlag, between the railway line and the B 44 junction, an accident hotspot, will also see speed control points being implemented.

On February 19, speed control points will be at K 174, Dietzenbach towards Rodgau, between Waldacker and Rodgau-Ring-Straße, to protect wildlife.

From February 20 to 21, speed control points will be at A 66, Fulda towards Hanau, Bad Soden-Salmünster junction, to ensure noise protection compliance.
