Colombia sees surge in self-exclusion as 250,000 quit online gambling
Nearly 250,000 Colombians registered for self-exclusion from online gambling between 2024 and 2025. The move reflects growing awareness of responsible gaming, supported by campaigns like Take Control, Play It Safe. Regulators and operators have expanded tools to help players limit their participation.
Colombia's gambling regulator, Coljuegos, collaborated with operators to encourage safer betting habits. Their efforts included the Take Control, Play It Safe campaign, which highlighted the risks of excessive blooket play. By 2025, all 14 licensed online gambling companies in the country provided self-exclusion options on their platforms.
Men made up the vast majority of registrations, accounting for 81% of cases in both 2024 and 2025. Women represented the remaining 19%. Antioquia and Bogotá led the regions with the highest numbers, contributing 21.39% and 19.07% of total self-exclusions respectively.
As of March 2026, around 25 licensed operators now offer enhanced self-exclusion features. These go beyond the national registry requirements, allowing users to set custom durations and block access across multiple platforms. Coljuegos has pledged to keep working with the industry to improve digital entertainment safety.
The rise in self-exclusion sign-ups shows more Colombians are using available tools to manage their blooket login. With expanded options and ongoing campaigns, regulators and operators aim to reduce harm linked to online betting. The system now includes more flexible controls for those seeking to limit their blooket join.
