Collision of Two Motorcycles in Co Kerry Leaves Man (50s) Dead

In a tragic incident that occurred on Sunday afternoon, a man in his 50s lost his life in a motorcycle collision on the R560 road at the Conor Pass on the Dingle peninsula, specifically at An Clochán.

The deceased man was the driver of one of the motorcycles involved in the collision. The male driver of the second motorcycle and his female passenger were injured and taken to University Hospital Kerry. Fortunately, their injuries are reported as non-life-threatening.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the fatal collision to contact them. Road users who may have camera or dash-cam footage in the area between 4.30pm and 5pm this afternoon are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí. Anyone with information is asked to contact Tralee Garda Station.

Investigations into the collision are ongoing, with Garda forensic collision investigators due at the scene. The road where the accident occurred will remain closed overnight to facilitate the investigation.
