On the 17th of November, 2024, a significant traffic accident occurred along the B2 in Gera, Germany. The incident involved a Honda and a BMW at the Dorna junction.

According to the Thuringian Police, the area was partially closed off due to the accident, and both vehicles had to be towed away due to the extent of the damage. The occupants in the Honda, a 68-year-old male and a 62-year-old female, as well as the occupants in the BMW, a male, a female, and a 2-year-old child, were slightly injured. All injured parties were taken to a hospital for treatment.
