Collision between cyclists in Mülheim on the Ruhr: seek eyewitnesses after one cyclist falls whilst avoiding another
On August 27th at around 14:45, a collision occurred between two cyclists on Liebigstraße near Wissollstraße in MH-Broich. The police in Essen are urgently seeking witnesses to the accident and the unidentified cyclist who fled the scene.
The unknown cyclist is described as a male, slim, approximately 180 cm tall, aged between 20 and 25 years old. He was wearing a black hat, an old white pearl necklace, and riding a black mountain bike. After the collision, he spoke briefly with the other cyclist, a 61-year-old man from Duisburg, and then fled towards Duisburger Straße.
The 61-year-old man fell off his bike during the collision and sustained minor injuries. He was treated at a hospital for his injuries. The exact cause of the collision remains unknown.
The man's helmet was significantly damaged but likely prevented serious injuries. The fleeing cyclist also remains unidentified.
