Cloud Factory Group Expands into Germany, Bolsters European Presence

Cloud Factory Group, one of the fastest-growing cloud management platforms in Europe, has announced its entry into the German market with a newly established subsidiary based in Hamburg. This strategic move comes as the company aims to establish itself as a European specialist in the automated management, billing, and optimization of Microsoft and Adobe licenses.

The acquisition of the German market is a significant step for Cloud Factory Group, adding over 700 Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to its customer base. The company's CEO, Jacob Schaumann Schmidt, stated that the transfer was necessary to sharpen strategic focus and build an international cloud distributor business.

Thomas Balslev, appointed as the Country Sales Manager Germany for Cloud Factory Group, brings distribution experience and knowledge of the German market. Balslev, who sees great potential in Germany, the largest IT market in Europe, believes that Cloud Factory's platform offers what local MSPs and Cloud Solution Providers (CSPs) in the Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) segment need: automation, transparency, and profitability.

The Cloud Factory platform covers everything from license management and contract renewals to billing and ERP system integration. Partners using the Cloud Factory platform can significantly reduce administrative costs and focus on growth and customer satisfaction. In line with its "partner-first" mindset, Cloud Factory distances itself from the term "marketplace" and emphasizes its pure cloud focus and non-competition with partners.

Recent changes in the Microsoft ecosystem bring stricter requirements and increase the need for automation, making "smart, integrated solutions" more important. Microsoft is overhauling its business with Tier-1 partners and CSPs, and Cloud Factory's entry into the German market comes at a time when there is a growing demand for such solutions.

Meanwhile, US VAD Climb Channel Solutions has started operations in Germany, adding another player to the competitive landscape. Meanwhile, Cloud Factory Group's previous hosting business was transferred to Curanet.

Cloud Factory recently expanded its presence in Norway by acquiring Frontline, the country's largest Adobe distributor. The company is backed by investor Riverside Acceleration Capital since February 2024.

In the midst of this expansion, Pax8, another cloud management platform, aims to enable partners "transformative AI conversations". The development in the cloud management sector indicates a growing focus on automation, efficiency, and innovation, as companies strive to meet the evolving needs of their customers in the digital age.
