Clear Show Returns in 2023 with Julia Ruhs, NDR Seeks New Moderator

The popular discussion show 'Clear' is set to return next year, with Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) retaining moderator Julia Roberts. Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR), however, is still searching for a new moderator for their episodes.

The show, which addresses controversial societal issues, has been praised for its relevance and credibility. Viewers appreciate the varied opinions presented, with 63% rating it a 1 or 2. Despite criticism of lack of balance and emotionalization, 'Clear' has restored hope in public broadcasting for many, including Julia Roberts herself.

Roberts, who will continue to lead the format for BR episodes, expressed disappointment at NDR's decision not to have her moderate their episodes. Further episodes are planned, with the search for NDR's new moderator ongoing.

Despite mixed reviews, 'Clear' will continue next year, produced alternately by BR and NDR. Viewers can expect more thought-provoking discussions, with Julia Roberts at the helm for BR's episodes. NDR's choice for their moderator remains to be seen.
