City Theatre Announces Exciting New Season
Prepare for an enchanting cultural experience as the City Theatre gears up for the start of its new season, beginning on Wednesday, September 3.
The opening weekend is extended, with a preview concert on Wednesday, showcasing works by Jean-Baptiste Lully, Richard Strauss, and Amy Beach. The main event, the 1st Symphony Concert, takes place on Thursday, September 4.
The season will kick off in style with the first premiere, "Prince Friedrich of Homburg", directed by Anaïs Durand-Mauptit. This production will be held in the Great Hall.
For theatre enthusiasts, the Summer Stage offers special outdoor experiences from Friday, September 5.
On Saturday, September 6, tea and Bulgarian songs will be followed by the city theatre's opera choir and an Open Mic event. The following weekend, on September 13, the first premiere of the new season will take place in the Great Hall.
The second premiere, a world premiere directed by City Theatre Director Simone Sterr, is scheduled for Saturday, September 20, in the Small Hall.
The new season promises a diverse range of theatre forms, ensuring there's something for everyone.

The Card House has reopened for business and is open from Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
On Sunday, September 7, a big family festival will be held around the house, filled with games, crafting, and surprises for the whole family.
There is currently no public information about who is directing or leading the premiere of "Gloria" at Stadttheater's Kleiner Saal in September 2025.
The General Music Director for the concert is Andreas Schüller.
