City Shifts Direction: Detmold Relocates
The Bürgerpark in Detmold is set to host the exciting "Park Sports" program this summer, from July 14 to August 26, 2025. This initiative, a collaborative effort between the Lippe County Sports Association, the city portal, the North Rhine-Westphalia Sports Association, the Detmold Sports Association, AOK NordWest, and numerous dedicated sports clubs from across the district, promises over 80 events for all ages and fitness levels.
The program is open to everyone, regardless of membership or prior registration. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast or just starting out, there's something for everyone. For those with a competitive spirit, inclusive ball games will be held, providing opportunities for children with and without disabilities to come together and play.
The city of Detmold is proudly supporting this program, with local clubs like Detmolder Sportverein, CVJM Pivitsheide, Sandokai Detmold, and TV 09 Pivitsheide playing active roles. The program will also extend to other cities and towns in the Lippe district.
Activities on offer include fitness classes, martial arts, Latin dance fitness, hula hoop, family offerings, and more. Strength and coordination training will be held on the Kusselberg, while Latin Dance Fitness will find its home in the Museumspark Ameide. All activities are led by experienced instructors and are free of charge.
For inquiries about the "Park Sports" program, you can contact Louisa Rabeneick via email 05231 977 8485. The full program and all dates can be found on the city portal, where you can also find the subpage dedicated to the "Park Sports" program.
