City Proposes Draft for Riebeckplatz Progress: Emphasizing a Focus on the Future as a Community Engagement Project

The city of Halle (Saale) has announced the publication of the draft for building plan No. 174.2, titled the "Riebeckplatz-Future Center." This ambitious project covers approximately 7.8 hectares, with a focus on significant traffic areas such as car parks on Volkmannstraße and Madgeburger Straße, and the two elevated roads.

Citizens are encouraged to participate in the planning process through two new avenues: the participation form and the participation portal. Both platforms offer the opportunity to view the planning documents and make statements, providing a valuable chance for the community to voice their opinions.

The participation form and portal are accessible on the city's internet portal at www.public-display.our-website.de and the participation portal of the state of Saxony-Anhalt. The deadline for submitting statements is from September 2nd to October 6th.

The draft, which has been approved by the city council, includes the justification and environmental report, along with significant existing environmentally-related statements. The draft can also be viewed in person at the administrative building Neustaedter Passage 18.

It is worth noting that the client, typically the commissioner of the project, is responsible for the preparation and execution of the plan. The overall management and organization of the construction project are usually the responsibility of construction management, which coordinates between architects, specialist planners, and contractors to ensure adherence to schedule, cost, and quality.

Electronic statements can be submitted on the participation portal of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, while the participation form can be printed, signed, and sent to the city of Halle (Saale).

This draft is a significant step in the citizen participation process, aiming to create a future center that reflects the needs and aspirations of the community. Citizens are encouraged to take advantage of the participation form and the participation portal to shape the development of the Riebeckplatz-Future Center.
