City Center Mishap: Car Collision at Mannheim's Intersection Junction - Property Damage Reported

In the early hours of Saturday morning, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of R5/R6 in Mannheim City Centre. The incident involved two vehicles: a BMW and a taxi.

According to the Mannheim City Police Station, the BMW driver, who was 22 years old, failed to yield the right of way, causing a collision with the taxi. As a result, both vehicles were significantly damaged and had to be towed away. The taxi rotated 90 degrees due to the force of the impact.

The taxi driver, aged 58, and the two passengers in the taxi, aged 22 and 23, sustained minor injuries. On-site medical treatment was administered to the passengers. There is no new information about the injuries or damages at this time.

Minor traffic disruptions occurred during the incident recording, but the situation returned to normal shortly after. The estimated material damage from the accident is approximately 18,000 euros.
