Citizens tip-off leads to the apprehension of two suspects for the theft of outboard engines, causing property damage.

In the quiet town of Eldenburg Waren (Muฬˆritz) in 2009, two mysterious incidents unfolded. On April 23rd and 24th, unknown perpetrators stole five outboard motors from rental boats operated by a local fishing business. The total damage caused by this theft amounts to several thousand euros, as the thieves also took the fuel lines and tanks of the stolen motors.

However, this theft is a separate incident from another mystery that unfolded in Malchin. On April 25th, 2009, at 1:00 AM, police received a tip about individuals vandalizing a phone booth in Malchin. Two panes of glass at the phone booth were damaged, each with a 5 cm hole. The damages caused by the vandalism total several hundred euros.

In the investigation that followed, the police found a person matching one of the suspect descriptions at the scene of the vandalism. This led to the arrest of the first suspect for vandalism. Further investigation led to the identification and location of the second suspect, who was also arrested for vandalism.

It is important to note that the police were able to question the found person and connect them to the second suspect, but the identity of the person who stole the outboard motors in Eldenburg Waren on April 23 and 24, 2009, remains unknown.

Both incidents, the theft of outboard motors and the vandalism, are separate incidents, and no information about a connection between the two has been provided.

The outcome of the investigation into the theft of outboard motors is not publicly known, while the investigation into the vandalism is ongoing, with both suspects now being investigated. The police continue their efforts to bring the perpetrators of both incidents to justice.
