Celle Suffers Damage from Straw Bale Blaze - Christmas Trees Face Flame Risk

Celle, Lower Saxony - The recent fire threatens to spoil Christmas!

Florian Persuhn, press officer for the fire department, shares, "Initially, barriers were set up around the blazing straw barn to prevent the spread of fire." Imagine creating walls of water to contain the flames and prevent sparks from flying any farther.

Despite their efforts, the firefighters were still battling the blaze four hours later as the dry straw continued to smolder. Moreover, they had to pull apart the bales of straw with wheel loaders to reach the last embers.

Still undetermined are the extent of the damages and the cause of this fire. The police are currently conducting their investigation.
