Zhao Leji's Official Visit to Vietnam Strengthens Ties Between Nations
Zhao Leji, the top Chinese legislator and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China, arrived in Hà Nội, Vietnam, on August 31, marking the start of an official visit that is scheduled to last for three days.
The visit, which is made at the invitation of the Communist Party of Việt Nam (CPV) Central Committee and National Assembly (NA) Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn, aims to advance the building of the Vietnam-China community. Zhao Leji was warmly welcomed at Nội Bài International Airport by NA Vice Chairman Trần Quang Phương, Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Office Đặng Khánh Toàn, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lê Anh Tuấn, and Vice Chairman of the NA Committee's for National Defence, Security and Affairs Affairs Đôn Tuấn Phong.
During his visit, Zhao Leji will attend a ceremony celebrating the 80th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day of Việt Nam on September 2. He will also co-chair the first meeting of the cooperation committee between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Chinese NPC. This co-chairmanship is expected to reinforce achievements across various channels, including politics, diplomacy, defence, security, trade, investment, science, technology, and people-to-people exchanges.
