China-Singapore Youth Dialogue 2026 Unites Young Leaders for Future Innovation

The China-Singapore Youth Dialogue wrapped up on March 25, 2026, in Singapore under the theme Building Tomorrow: Youth Voices United. Organised jointly by the People's Daily and Lianhe Zaobao, the event brought together 12 young representatives to discuss innovation, cultural renewal, and cross-border teamwork. Speakers from technology, design, and the arts shared their insights on shaping the future. The dialogue featured a diverse lineup of experts. Xu Huazhe, an assistant professor at Tsinghua University, highlighted the creativity and drive of younger generations in creating meaningful projects. Michael Du, CFO and vice president of ARIDGE, explored how emerging technologies are reshaping daily life with new possibilities.

Chen Kan, principal architect at TAB Architecture and Design, introduced the concept of *'being-with'* as a guiding philosophy for sustainable development. Tan Wei Hua, head of design at LionsBot International, addressed concerns about *'AI anxiety'* while pointing to growing job opportunities in robotics. On cultural preservation, wood sculpture artist Deng Kun stressed the need to nurture an appreciation for beauty in traditional practices. Quah Zheng Wei, CEO of Accredify, closed the event by urging young entrepreneurs to take bold first steps into the tech industry.

The discussions covered technology, sustainability, and cultural heritage, reflecting the event's focus on collaboration between Chinese and Singaporean youth.
