Chevelle's Initial Major Success Appears on Billboard Chart Following Decades of Delay Since Initial Release
After more than 20 years since its release, Chevelle's iconic track "The Red" has finally made its debut on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart, entering at No. 25. This marks a significant milestone for the band, as it's their first-ever placement on this chart.
"The Red" has been a staple in Chevelle's discography and a fan favourite, but its long-awaited launch on the streaming chart is a testament to its enduring popularity. This achievement comes as Chevelle becomes one of the most exciting new names in the rock field, thanks to the success of their latest album, Bright as Blasphemy.
Released on August 15, 2025, through Alchemy Recordings, Bright as Blasphemy is making waves across various Billboard charts. The album's lead single, "Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)", has spent a total of 20 frames on the Rock & Alternative Airplay list and 7 frames on the Hard Rock Songs chart.
In addition to "The Red", "Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)" has also made history by reaching a peak position of No. 16 on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. The single recently reentered the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart at No. 24.
Bright as Blasphemy is not only home to these successful singles but also multiple other tracks that are currently making their mark on different charts. The album manages its lowest debut on the Billboard 200, starting at No. 150, but can also be found within the top 40 on the Top Alternative Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts, where it kicks off its time at Nos. 19 and 32.
Moreover, Bright as Blasphemy opens inside the top 10 on both the Top Album Sales and Top Hard Rock Albums lists, entering at Nos. 6 and 10, respectively.
As Chevelle continues to dominate the rock scene, "The Red" and "Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)" are shining examples of the band's enduring appeal and their ability to captivate audiences with their powerful, hard-hitting sound.
