A kitchen fire broke out at a multi-family home on Altenhoferstraße in Bodelhausen on Tuesday evening, as reported by emergency services. The fire started around 8:30 PM and prompted the immediate response of the fire department, emergency services, and police.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the fire raging in one of the apartments. They quickly mobilised, dispatching 5 vehicles and 30 personnel to extinguish the blaze. The fire was caused by a toaster left on a turned-on stove, which a child inadvertently activated.

Thankfully, all the adult residents of the affected apartment and the rest of the house were able to evacuate safely. However, one adult resident was taken to the hospital with suspected smoke inhalation. The current condition of this individual is not known at this time, as the search results do not provide any information about their identity.

The other residents of the house remained unharmed and are currently staying with relatives or friends. Fortunately, the house remains habitable for them, except for the affected apartment where the fire occurred.

Emergency services had 6 vehicles and 16 personnel on site to ensure the safety of the residents and to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the house. The fire was successfully extinguished, and the damage is estimated to be around 40,000 euros.

The fire department, emergency services, and police are still present at the scene, investigating the incident and assessing the extent of the damage. It is hoped that the affected apartment can be made habitable again as soon as possible for the resident who was not hospitalised.
