Weather Forecast for Spain: Warm and Sunny Days Ahead
Spain is set to experience a mix of weather conditions over the coming days, with most autonomous communities set to enjoy warm and sunny to partly cloudy weather.
In the Mediterranean coast and extensive areas of the interior of the southern half of the peninsula, light instability is expected. Easterly winds will blow with intervals of strong winds in the Alboran and the Strait, with probable very strong gusts.
In the northern half of the country, precipitations are expected in Cantabria, more likely and intense in the eastern half, north face of the Pyrenees, and with less probability in eastern Catalonia and the mountains of the central peninsula. In Asturias, intervals of low clouds are predicted, with probable light rain in the eastern third of the coast that could extend to nearby areas and the rest of the coast.
Madrid will have partly cloudy or clear skies, with intervals of evolving clouds. Probable showers occasionally accompanied by storms in the mountains. Temperatures increase, more pronounced for the minimums in the mountains.
Murcia will have partly cloudy skies, with intervals of morning low clouds. Temperatures remain unchanged.
In Castile and León, partly cloudy or clear skies are predicted, with low clouds in the extreme north and evolving clouds in the northwest and south, not ruling out some scattered showers with storms in the Central System.
Anticyclonic stable weather is expected in almost the entire country.
Maximum temperatures will exceed 34-36 degrees in the southwestern interior of the peninsula and in the southwest of Galicia, even reaching 39 degrees in the Guadiana and Guadalquivir.
The Balearic Islands will have partly cloudy or clear skies, with some evolving clouds. Night temperatures have few changes and daytime temperatures slightly increase.
Canary Islands will be cloudy in the north, tending to scattered in the mountainous islands and mostly clear in the eastern islands. Temperatures have little change or decreasing. Wind is between gentle and moderate at low altitudes, while moderate with intervals of strong wind at high altitudes.
Aragon will have skies that are partly cloudy or clear, with evolving clouds in the Iberian System and Pyrenees. Wind is light to moderate, with intervals of moderate intensity in the Ebro valley.
Catalonia will have intermittent low cloud cover in the northern half, partly cloudy or clear in the rest. Evolving clouds are predicted in the Pyrenees and northeast interior. Minimum temperatures remain unchanged, while maximum temperatures increase or slightly increase.
In Galicia, mostly clear sky is predicted, with intervals of low clouds in the north and in the southern interior. Morning and evening mist and probable fog in dispersed areas of northern Lugo.
On Thursday, most autonomous communities in Spain will experience warm and sunny to partly cloudy weather with temperatures ranging roughly between 20°C and 40°C depending on the region. For example, Navarra will have mostly clear skies with highs up to 40°C and some wind between 8 and 27 km/h, while South Tyrol will see bright sunshine with temperatures from 23° to 27°C. There are favorable winds expected to help with wildfire control, improving conditions especially in affected regions like Castile and León, Galicia, Asturias, and Extremadura.
La Rioja will have minimum temperatures remain unchanged and maximum temperatures slightly increase. Minimum temperatures will decrease slightly in eastern Cantabria and the mountainous Canary Islands, while in the rest, a slight increase is expected.
Overall, the weather forecast for Spain suggests a mix of sunny and partly cloudy days across the country, with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 40°C. Favorable winds are expected to help with wildfire control, especially in affected regions.
