Chaos at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh: Altercation Leads to Assault on Trooper
Four individuals were taken into custody on Monday following a chaotic altercation at the Rivers Casino Pittsburgh. A combination of regional and local law enforcement, along with casino security personnel, intervened in the pre-dawn melee.
As accounted by local TV station WPXI, a Pennsylvania State Trooper sustained injuries during the scuffle. Brianna Grabowsky, 26, from McKees Rocks, Pa., unintentionally struck the officer in the face while aims at another woman, Saida-Amira Witherspoon, 44, of Pittsburgh.
Darnel Robert Hall, 33, of Pittsburgh, reportedly struck the walls multiple times in a casino security office, causing injury to his hands. He received medical attention before his arrest at the Allegheny County Jail, as per WPXI.
James Lamont Domek, 33, also of McKees Rocks, managed to slip away from officers before they could question him.
Grabowsky, Witherspoon, Domek, and Hall face charges, according to communications with WPXI by state police. The specific charges haven't been disclosed yet.
Attempted Armed Robbery at Artichoke Joe’s Casino
A male suspect wielding a knife was detained on Saturday night for a suspected armed robbery in the parking lot of Artichoke Joe’s casino in San Bruno, Calif.
The perpetrator approached a 65-year-old individual and demanded money. However, the victim claimed to be devoid of cash.
The suspect ventured inside the gaming establishment. Officers tracked him down using surveillance footage and apprehended him on the premises.
He was later recognized as Raymond Yee, 31, of San Francisco, according to the San Mateo Daily Journal. Information regarding the charges against him is currently unavailable.
Authorities disclosed that Yee had been released on bail following two alleged 2022 robberies, as reported by the Daily Journal.
Margaritaville Casino Possible Site of Missing Individual
Don’Tavia Bryant, 31, from Garrison, Texas, was declared missing after being last spotted at Margaritaville Casino in Bossier City, La., on February 25.
KSLA, a Louisiana-based TV station, reported that someone spoke to him over the phone early on February 26. Bryant's vehicle was discovered in the casino parking lot, and his relatives recently notified authorities that he has yet to be found.
Valley Forge Casino Alleged Pickpocket Arrested
A 56-year-old woman residing in Pottstown, Pa., was taken into custody for allegedly snatching a man's wallet that had fallen onto the casino floor at the Valley Forge Casino Resort.
The man was engrossed in a card game at a gaming table on the previous Friday, during which his wallet slipped out of his back pocket.
The wallet contained around $390 in cash. The suspect spotted the wallet, picked it up, and absconded from the casino. She was apprehended and charged in a nearby court. Her identity and the charges against her are yet to be disclosed.
