CEO of SWC, Andrew Webley, Announces $3.7M Funding Increase, Also Mentioned Auditor Switch and Bitcoin Involvement
The Smarter Web Company (SWC) Embraces Optimism Amid Market Pressures
In a recent development, CEO of SWC, Andrew Webley, has expressed optimism despite the current share price pressure. Webley attended the Bitcoin Asia conference in Hong Kong, where he met industry leaders and engaged with new partners.
During the conference, Webley also thanked shareholders and the wider community for their ongoing support. He reaffirmed that the company's long-term strategy remains firmly on track, despite short-term pressures.
In a significant move, SWC has expanded its Bitcoin treasury, purchasing an additional 45 Bitcoin. This brings the total holdings to 2,440 BTC. The company's progress in this area has earned it a ranking of number 25 on the Bitcoin Treasuries ranking.
Jesse Myers, the Head of Bitcoin Strategy for SWC, has played a vital role in shaping and advancing the company’s Bitcoin treasury strategy. Myers, who was also present at the conference, has contributed as a key Bitcoin analyst and author.
The funding raised by SWC through its subscription agreement amounts to £3.7 million ($3.7M). This funding provides additional support for SWC as it expands its global footprint.
In another key milestone, SWC has moved its auditing firm from Adler Shine to PKF Littlejohn. CEO Andrew Webley described this transition as a natural step to support long-term business growth. Webley praised Adler Shine's early work but emphasized PKF's ability to guide the company through its next phase.
The X community, which now has over 4,100 members, has shown resilience, sharing research, supporting each other, and maintaining conviction during market challenges. Webley took time to explore Hong Kong with community members beyond business matters.
Webley acknowledged that volatility is part of both stock and crypto markets. However, he expressed confidence in building further from SWC's Bitcoin position. He also credited the support of collaborator Jesse Myers during his trip to Hong Kong.
The company's progress in raising funds and securing a new auditor are key milestones for the months ahead. Webley's optimism and the strategic moves made by SWC indicate a promising future for the company.
