Celebrating the rich traditions of Yakutia's diverse populace at the "Etnika-fest" in Yakutia

Last Friday, the "Red" club in Yakutia played host to the vibrant and enriching "Ethnic Fest" event. Founded and organized by Lyubov Protopopova, this festival showcased the rich tapestry of cultures that make up the region, bringing together performers from various nationalities and communities, including Yakuts, Russians, Altaians, Evens, Evenks, Tuvans, Buryats, and Nogais.

The event was bilingual, conducted in both Yakut and Russian, reflecting the multinational spirit of the republic. The performances were a captivating blend of traditional and contemporary, with Saiana, the "Siianniye" northern dance ensemble, the "Yarilov Den" Russian folk dance ensemble, Alexander Lukin, Aleksey Soldatov, Katrin Prus, and the "Brothers of the Nations" show group all taking to the stage.

In addition to the performances, the festival offered a variety of activities and exhibits. Guests had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with animated films by Mira Argunova and engage in Tarot card readings. The works of local artists, such as Nurguiyana Everest with her collections of handmade jewelry and Tatiana Andreyeva with her clothing collections, were also on display.

The "Ethnic Fest" event is more than just a celebration of culture. Its goal is to popularize ethnic culture, preserve cultural heritage, unite peoples, and promote values such as mindfulness, respect for nature, trust, self-expression, eco-friendliness, kindness, and love. The event takes place throughout the year in various formats, with the arrival of summer promising outdoor events.

One of the most heartwarming aspects of the "Ethnic Fest" is its support for children with health limitations. This support includes activities such as hippotherapy and work in a carpentry workshop. Although the person offering this sponsorship support is not explicitly named in the provided search results, the goals of these activities are to develop work skills and socialization for individuals with OVD (mental disorders), as explained by Ekaterina Prusova.

Zhanna Tsyrenodorzhieva serves as an ambassador and co-organizer of the "Ethnic Fest" event, working alongside Lyubov Protopopova and Ekaterina Prushova in bringing this unique and enriching experience to the people of Yakutia. With the "Ethnic Fest," the region's diverse cultures are not only celebrated but also preserved and nurtured for future generations.
