Celebrating Diversity and Solidarity
Last Saturday, the Integration Cup 2025 took place in Euskirchen, a testament to openness, respect, and togetherness. The event, now a symbol of unity and lived integration in the city, attracted fifteen teams and a palpable enthusiasm from both participants and spectators.
Mayor Sasha Reichelt opened the event, welcoming everyone to the festivities. Salih Yavuz, chairman of the Integration Council, warmly welcomed participants and led the tournament proceedings.
The matches were fair, friendly, and driven by healthy ambition. An exciting final was played, showcasing the competitive spirit of the teams. Off the field, children had a blast with a bouncy castle, face painting, and the popular Karlo-Klötzchen. Adults enjoyed varied culinary offerings and the open community spirit.
Vogelsang IP, dm-drogerie market, Procter & Gamble Manufacturing, and Kreissparkasse Euskirchen sponsored gift bags for the participants, while Volksbank Euskirchen and EUGEBAU sponsored gifts for the youngest guests. As a token of appreciation, gift bags were given to all teams.
The Integration Cup is not just about the football tournament. It's about community spirit and activities for children. This year, a total of 50 games were played, each lasting 10 minutes.
Looking forward, everyone is invited to be part of the Integration Cup in 2026. The event is scheduled for September 5, 2026. However, as of now, the main sponsor for the Integration Cup 2026 in Euskirchen has yet to be announced.
The Integration Cup 2025 was a day to remember, filled with unity, diversity, and a shared love for the beautiful game. Here's to another year of integration, community, and football in Euskirchen!
